Meet the therapist...

Caroline Lowe is a highly skilled play therapist and occupational therapist.  She has worked therapeutically with children, adolescents and their families for many years, as a school therapist (primary and secondary) within social services and for over 10 years as the lead clinician of a specialist CAMHS service for children (aged 0-18  years) with developmental trauma and attachment difficulties. Caroline offers play therapy to children aged 3-11, talking therapy for teenagers, anxiety management, attachment therapy (Theraplay, DDP) and systemic work with families.  Caroline draws upon her clinical expertise and knowledge of child development + child mental health to guide her therapeutic practice. Caroline's specialist interest is helping children to successfully manage/regulate their difficult feelings (and behaviour) at home and school.  Caroline believes in teaching children the practical tools they need to calm down and feel 'just right' within themselves (balancing mind/body).  She teaches children how to successfully use body calming techniques, breathing exercises, mindful breaks, positive self talk and relaxation visualisations.  Over the years Caroline has helped many children cope with their anxieties, fears, depression, anger, bereavement, loss, sexual abuse, childhood trauma and more...
