After talking with you during your initial parent consultation, we will consider and agree the type of therapy that will best support your child, meet their specific needs and address their current difficulties.  My therapeutic approach is flexible, creative and dynamic because every child I see is different and unique in their own way.

It can be difficult for children to find the words to describe how they are feeling inside.   I help children to find a voice through play, art, drama and creatively express the thoughts and feelings that are too difficult to speak in words. Play is a familiar and comfortable way for a child to work through the issues that trouble them and find better coping strategies.  Our therapy room therefore has plenty of play and art resources to encourage children to express their experiences and the tricky issues they face, which we then explore and talk through together...

I use PACE (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity and Empathy) to help me connect with a child and build a trusting relationship, which is a key predictor of the success of therapy.

Sessions may be time limited (approximately 20 sessions) or more long term as agreed with you and your child.
